Hormone Therapy & Wellness

Convenient Physicals for Work, School, Sports & Surgery

Hormonal changes can affect how you feel physically, mentally, and emotionally. Symptoms such as fatigue, changes in sexual health, sleep difficulties, mood changes, decreased muscle mass, and other concerns may sometimes be associated with hormonal changes — but they can also have other medical causes.

At You Matter Healthcare, we provide individualized hormone evaluations for women and men. Our approach begins with listening to your concerns, reviewing your medical history, and obtaining appropriate laboratory testing before determining whether hormone therapy is right for you.

Hormone Therapy for Women

Hormonal changes can occur throughout adulthood and may become especially noticeable during perimenopause and menopause.

Women may seek an evaluation for concerns such as:

  • Hot flashes
  • Night sweats
  • Sleep disturbances
  • Vaginal dryness or discomfort
  • Changes in sexual desire
  • Mood changes
  • Menstrual changes associated with the menopausal transition
  • Other symptoms that may be associated with menopause

Your provider will review your symptoms, personal and family medical history, medications, and risk factors. Laboratory testing may be ordered when clinically appropriate.

Individualized Treatment Options: When appropriate, hormone therapy may be considered as part of an individualized treatment plan. Treatment may involve estrogen and/or progesterone, depending on the patient’s symptoms, medical history, whether the uterus is present, and other clinical considerations.

Hormone therapy is not appropriate for everyone. Your provider will discuss potential benefits, risks, alternatives, and recommended monitoring before treatment begins.

Our goal isn’t simply to treat a laboratory number. We want to understand how you’re feeling and what you’re experiencing so we can develop a plan appropriate for your overall health.
