Medical Weight Management
Your Weight-Loss Journey. Personalized for You.
At You Matter Healthcare, we understand that successful weight management is about more than a number on the scale. Our medical weight-management program combines provider evaluation, laboratory testing, medication management, nutrition education, physical activity guidance, and ongoing follow-up to help you work toward your goals.
Your program begins with a comprehensive consultation to determine whether medical weight management is appropriate for you and to develop an individualized treatment plan.
Your Initial Weight-Loss Consultation
During your consultation, your healthcare provider will review your medical history, current medications, previous weight-loss attempts, lifestyle, current weight, BMI, health goals, and potential risk factors.
Your initial evaluation may include:
- Weight, BMI and vital signs
- Review of medical and medication history
- Discussion of previous weight-loss attempts
- Establishment of realistic weight and health goals
- Labs will be ordered as deemed necessary by the provider.
- Additional laboratory testing when clinically indicated
- Review of medication options
- Nutrition and dietary education
- Exercise and physical-activity recommendations
- Education about potential side effects and medication safety
- Development of your personalized weight-management plan
Semaglutide & Tirzepatide Options
For appropriate patients, You Matter Healthcare offers medical weight-management programs that may include compounded semaglutide or compounded tirzepatide.
Semaglutide: Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist. GLP-1 medications can influence appetite and food intake, helping appropriate patients feel satisfied with less food as part of a comprehensive weight-management program.
FDA-approved semaglutide products exist for specific indications; however, the compounded semaglutide offered through our program is not FDA-approved and has not undergone FDA premarket review for safety, effectiveness, or quality.
Tirzepatide: Tirzepatide acts on both GIP and GLP-1 receptors, pathways involved in appetite and food intake. FDA-approved tirzepatide has demonstrated significant weight reduction when used with reduced-calorie nutrition and increased physical activity in appropriate patients.
The compounded tirzepatide offered through our program is not FDA-approved and should not be interpreted as FDA-approved Zepbound or Mounjaro, or as having been evaluated by FDA for equivalence to those products.
Monthly At-Home Membership
For patients who prefer the convenience of administering medication at home, we offer monthly programs for eligible patients prescribed compounded semaglutide or compounded tirzepatide.
Our team provides education on:
- Proper injection technique
- Measuring the prescribed dose
- Injection-site selection and rotation
- Medication storage
- Safe handling of syringes and supplies
- Proper sharps disposal
- Recognizing and reporting potential side effects
Because compounded injectable medications may be available in different concentrations, patients should administer only the exact dose prescribed and taught by their healthcare provider.
Prefer Not to Inject Yourself?
We also offer weekly in-clinic injections of prescribed compounded semaglutide or compounded tirzepatide for eligible patients.
Our clinical team administers your medication in the office, so you don’t have to perform the injection yourself.
Monthly Weight-Management Check-Ins
Medical weight management requires ongoing monitoring. Patients return for monthly evaluations so we can assess:
- Weight-loss progress
- Current weight and BMI
- Medication response
- Appetite and satiety
- Side effects
- Nutrition and hydration
- Physical activity
- Overall health and progress toward goals
Your provider will determine whether your medication should be continued at the current dose, increased, decreased, held, or discontinued. Dose increases are not automatic. Dose escalation is based on your response, tolerance, medical condition, and provider assessment.
Lipo-B Nutrient Injections
You Matter Healthcare also offers Lipo-B injections as an optional adjunct to our weight-management program.
Our compounded Lipo-B formulation contains a combination of nutrients that may include: Vitamin B12 • Vitamin B6/B-complex • Methionine • Inositol • Choline
These nutrients have roles in normal metabolic processes. Lipo-B is offered as a vitamin and nutrient injection intended to support normal energy and fat metabolism alongside appropriate nutrition, physical activity, and your individualized weight-management plan.
Lipo-B is not a substitute for healthy nutrition, physical activity, or medically appropriate weight-management treatment, and individual results vary. Compounded Lipo-B preparations are not FDA-approved to treat obesity or produce weight loss.
Important Information About Compounded Medications
Compounded medications are not FDA-approved. FDA does not review compounded medications before marketing for safety, effectiveness, or quality. They should not be represented as generic versions of or equivalent to FDA-approved medications. Your healthcare provider will determine whether a compounded medication is appropriate based on your individual medical needs.
All medications require a prescription and medical evaluation. Treatment is not appropriate for everyone, and results vary from patient to patient.
